LOGAN, Utah – Police booked a man for leaving pictures of his genitals and exposing himself across Utah State University’s Logan campus.

According to arresting documents, 44-year-old Anderson Barnes was reported for the lewd acts over two weeks before being caught by police.

The first reported incident happened on June 17 as a woman found “an image of an erect penis” and sexual texts on her parked car on the USU campus.

She noticed Barnes looking at her across the parking lot as she removed the image from her car.

After the first incident, USU police noticed Barnes on security cameras changing into different clothes before leaving the image on the woman’s car.

USU police also saw him on the cameras “dropping his pants below his waist exposing his genital area… then makes several stroking motions with what appears to be his penis out in the open.”

Barnes changed clothes after the incident and left the campus several hours later.

On June 25, Barnes was reported for exposing his genitals at a bus stop on 1000 East Highway 89 around noon by a second woman driving by, according to arresting documents.

Again, USU police found Barnes on security cameras changing clothes before and after the second incident.

Then on June 26, the second woman noticed Barnes on campus, and he left similar lewd images and texts on her car in the first incident.

USU police again found Barnes on their security cameras, changing clothes in public and defecating under a tree.

On July 3, Barnes was seen by a witness at the 1000 East bus stop and called USU police. Police arrived, noticed he matched the descriptions of previous witnesses, and detained him.

Barnes had a plastic bag next to him containing ten papers with images of the erect penis and sexual texts.

USU police also found Barnes’s backpack near the bus stop under a pine tree.

Police got a search warrant for the backpack and found 131 papers containing the lewd images and texts, along with a loaded 9mm handgun.

During the investigation, Barnes told police he lived in a house in Logan, and police got a search warrant for his residence, where they found the same clothing he was seen changing into.

Barnes also gave police an alias with no records, claiming he was from Nevada.

Authorities discovered his true identity and found he is from California with a criminal record and is restricted from possessing a firearm.

Barnes was booked into the Cache County Jail for lewdness and distribution of an intimate image.
