PROVO, Utah — Firefighters responded to two fires in Provo, with one being a second-alarm fire early Thursday morning.
According to Provo Fire Department’s Captain Armstrong, the first fire happened on 169 N 1080 E, Provo, at approximately 3:45 a.m.
Fire crews believe the fire started on the home’s exterior, moved into the interior, and up into the attic, Armstrong told KSL. Crews updated the fire to a second alarm, asking for more help in taking down the fire.
First responders cleared the house fire scene around 4:13 a.m., Armstrong said. No injuries were reported, and the residents were displaced for the night.
Armstrong said fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
The second fire was called in soon after the house fire at the Centennial Apartments at approximately 380 N 1020 E.
“[First responders] were fast enough to catch a small fire in the recreation room/laundry facility starting in an electrical outlet,” reads the Facebook post from Provo Fire & Rescue.
No injuries were reported from the apartment fire.
