Thieves steal up to 1,000 gallons of diesel at a time from Utah stations

SALT LAKE CITY — Kane County authorities alerted the rest of the state to a couple of uniquely shaped trucks that have stolen as much as 1,000 gallons of diesel from several stations.
The news release said, “So far we are aware of gas stations in the state of Utah being, but not limited to, Kanab, Mount Carmel, Cedar City, St. George, Richfield, Beaver, and Santaquin.”
The thieves may have also possibly hit a Pilot station in Greenhaven, Arizona.
“The subjects are able to make the gas pumps start and then pump as much diesel fuel as their vehicles can hold. It’s estimated they’re able to take around 1,000 gallons at a time from each station,” the release stated.
The thieves drove two trucks that have unique body styles. One is a white semi-truck with a red strips. The other is a Dodge truck with a black utility bed, the release said.
