SYRACUSE, Utah – Black Island Farms Corn Maze and Harvest Festival says someone took their farm equipment on a joyride around the corn maze and caused “substantial damage” to their event.
In a Facebook post, the farm wrote, “We are saddened to say that last night some time after our opening night closing some one came down and decided to take some of our equipment out on a joyride around the farm.”
The post stated the front end of a cow train on the property was smashed. A big straw slide was also torn and a decent amount of the corn was knocked down. Both have since been repaired, according to their statement.
The corn maze is still open and the post states that most of the damage happened at the entrance, so customers should still have a great experience.
The post states that the owners are offering a $500 cash reward for information that identifies the person or persons responsible.
