University of Utah Police Investigating Alleged Attempted Sexual Assault on Campus

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – University of Utah police are investigating an alleged attempted sexual assault that happened around 12:50 a.m. Saturday in the Rice-Eccles Stadium parking lot.
The victim is a female who is not affiliated with the University of Utah and the suspect is described as a white male with dark, short hair, wearing jeans and a dark jacket, Sgt. Mark Veatupu said.
An update to the alert that went out Sunday stated the suspect drove westbound in a truck that is described as a dark color (blue, black or purple) 1998 to 2002 Toyota Tacoma extended cab. The truck has a utility toolbox mounted in the bed of the truck that is also a dark color and a dark colored bug deflector on the front hood. The vehicle has aluminum alloy wheels and possibly a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) sticker on the truck bed.
