Mudslides Cause Multiple Road Closures Thursday Night, Friday Morning

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Both directions of SR-210 remain closed Friday after severe storms pushed up to four feet of mud onto the Little Cottonwood Canyon road Thursday night.
Five semi-trucks are still stuck in the debris field and approximately 35 cars are stuck after
Officials plan to use a helicopter to survey the debris flow.
According to the Utah Department of Transportation, there’s no estimated clearance time.

In Spanish Fork Canyon, both directions of US-6 are closed at mile post 198, west of the Tie Fork Rest Area.
UDOT is recommending using US-191 and US-40 as alternate routes. The road is expected to be close at approximately 10 a.m. Friday.
