SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – In honor of the 25th anniversary of NBC’s “Friends”, a Salt Lake City-based company is looking across the United States for someone to reward for watching the show for 25 hours, and live tweeting the experience.
It’s been 25 years since we were first introduced to Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey. The show first airs on NBC on September 22, 1994.
It’s about 60 episodes, which would take you through the 11th episode of Season 3 if you start at the beginning. That’s every episode from the pilot to “The One Where Chandler Can’t Remember Which Sister.”
If you’d rather watch through the finale when (SPOILER) Rachel and Ross finally get together, you’ll need to start roughly in episode 8 of Season 8 after Chandler and Monica’s wedding reception.
The winning fan gets $1000, a year-long subscription to Netflix (or VISA gift card if you already have Netflix), and a Friends gift pack.

The show ended its 10-season run 15 years ago in May 2004. There have been rumors and speculation since of a Friends reunion, though nothing has materialized.
Plans have been announced for a three-night Friends anniversary in 1000 theaters across the country on September 23, 28 and October 2. Fans will watch 12 fan-favorite episodes – 4 each night – that have been remastered in 4K, and will include new content and interviews.
Tickets go on sale Friday at the Fathon Events website, fathomevents.com/events/friends-25th-anniversary.
The site did not say if any Utah theaters were included in the anniversary event.
