BOUNTIFUL, Utah – Officials are asking residents to stay clear of the firefighting efforts happening in Davis County.
The Gun Range Fire has forced the evacuation of hundreds of homes, and several houses are currently burning.
Centerville Police said onlookers need to stay out of the area north of 400 North and east of 400 East in Bountiful to Porter Lane in Centerville and East of 400 East.

“If you are within 500 feet of a fire truck, you’re too close!” the department tweeted.
Bountiful City officials also reminded residents to keep their drones grounded. Authorities said it’s illegal to fly drones over a fire, and doing so could impede firefighting efforts if air support is being used.
Shelters have been set up for those impacted by the fire, and authorities are asking evacuees to call 801-298-6294 or 801-298-6297 for information.
“Please avoid calling 911 or 801-298-6000,” Bountiful City Police Department tweeted.
