Police: SLC Apartment Shooting Being Investigated As Homicide

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said they are now investigating a shooting at a downtown apartment complex as a homicide.
On Friday, police said 25-year-old Terrance Jefferies Jr. died as a result of the Nov. 27 shooting at the SkyHouse apartment complex near 300 West North Temple.
Two people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds – one victim was in serious condition while the other was in serious but stable condition.
Detective Greg Wilking with the Salt Lake City Police Department said they are searching for a third person who got into the secured building and fired the shots after an argument broke out.
Officials did not give an update on the other victim and asked anyone with information to contact police at 801-799-3000 and reference case No. 19-223259.
