Suspect Arrested In Fatal Weber County Shooting

OGDEN, Utah – One person has been arrested after a 21-year-old man was found with a fatal gunshot wound in a Weber County church parking lot.
Officials with the Ogden Police Department said a call came into 911 emergency dispatch around 9:30 p.m. Thursday of shots fired in the area of 300 Jefferson Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim laying in the parking lot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 236 Porter Avenue.
The man had a gunshot to the chest. He was identified as Isaac Gonzalez from North Ogden.
Gonzalez was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Officials said he died from his injuries Friday.
While police were at the scene, officials said a second victim showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm.
He had non-life threatening injuries.
Lieutenant Clint Christensen said information obtained by the man led police to believe the two incidents were related.
Information from the second victim led to the arrest of 19-year-old Caleb Skipps from Pleasant View.
Skipps was booked him into jail. Officials said he faced multiple charges, including homicide.
It was not clear exactly what led to the shootings, but Lieutenant Clint Christensen said they believed the incident was drug-related.
