SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Music from “Star Wars” and “The Avengers” are getting the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra treatment.
The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square announced its new EP album, “When You Believe: A Night at the Movies” will be available for purchase on May 22.
One of the tracks, “Duel of the Fates,” from “The Phantom Menace” is available now for download.
The album also includes songs from “Avengers: Endgame,” “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” and “The Prince of Egypt.”
“The Choir and Orchestra have a longstanding tradition of performing inspirational music from the Broadway stage and the movies,” Choir music director Mack Wilberg said. “We hope to showcase the power of this music to inspire and to encourage us. The title ‘When You Believe’ captures that concept of building faith and shows why it was fitting for the Choir and Orchestra to record this music.”
He said the music can touch listeners’ souls “in a very unique way,” and he hopes the album will open doors to those who haven’t yet experienced the music of The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square.
“When You Believe: A Night at the Movies” will be available on Spotify and and iTunes.
