132 More People Test Positive For Coronavirus In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health reported another 132 people in the state have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing to total to nearly 8,400.
No new deaths were reported. The total number of people who have died of COVID-19-related illness was at 97.
Officials said the 8,392 total positive cases represented a daily rate increase of 1.6 percent from Saturday.
An additional 3,364 tests have been administered since the health department’s last update, bringing the total number of tests in Utah to 194,443.
According to the latest numbers, 12 more people have been hospitalized, with 96 patients currently undergoing treatment in Utah hospitals.
The number of people who have recovered from was 5,081.
Across the United States, 97,049 people have died after contracting COVID-19, an increase of 1,047.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 1,622,114 positive coronavirus cases in the US around 1 p.m. Sunday, with 26,229 of those since Saturday.

How Do I Prevent It?
The CDC has some simple recommendations, most of which are the same for preventing other respiratory illnesses or the flu:
- Avoid close contact with people who may be sick
- Avoid touching your face
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then throw the tissue in the trash
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. Always wash your hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

If you see evidence of PRICE GOUGING, the Utah Attorney General’s Office wants you to report it. Common items in question include toilet paper, water, hand sanitizer, certain household cleaners, and even cold medicine and baby formula.
