Car Crashes Through Fence, Into House In Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Police responded Friday morning after a vehicle hit another car, crashed through a fence, and drove into an occupied home, authorities said.
The crash happened on Redwood Road in the area of 800 North at approximately 4 a.m.
According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the driver said he was drowsy while coming home from work when the crash happened.

No one inside the home was injured, police said. The impact broke a basement window, but otherwise the damage was minimal.
Both the drivers involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
Police said the driver who crashed into the home had a controlled substance in his vehicle, so investigators are treating the incident as a possible DUI.
