Police Investigate Drive-By Shooting In West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – Police are investigating after a reported drive-by shooting late Saturday in West Valley City.
The incident happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. in the area of 4200 West and 3100 South.
Lt. Jeff Conger with the West Valley City Police Department said the two victims were driving in the area when a pedestrian caught their attention.
The driver of the vehicle slowed down. As the vehicle was slowing, another car drove by and an occupant inside shot at least two bullets at the first car. One bullet struck the car door, and another went through one of the vehicle’s open windows.
No injuries were reported. The two victims drove home, which was located approximately a block away, and contact police.
Authorities found shell casings at the site. However, they have not been able to identify any suspects at this time.
