Ogden Police Detain Person Of Interest In Murder Of Grocery Store Owner

OGDEN, Utah – Officials with the Ogden Police Department said they have detained a person of interest in connection to the murder of Satnam Singh, who was killed Sunday night.
“The investigation is active and ongoing,” police said. “No further information is being released at this time to allow for a thorough and complete investigation that is focused on ensuring justice for Mr. Singh and his family.”
Officers said Singh was shot and killed during a robbery at his Super Grocery store, located at 675 North Monroe Boulevard, late Sunday night.
Community members said they were shocked when they learned about Singh’s death and said he was known for giving back to the community.
“I was devastated. I was shocked,” said resident Bonnie Adams. “This is a store that kept the community together.”
