PARK CITY, Utah – A Park City woman who began a mission to ascend the seven second-highest summits on seven continents, has reached the top of the highest peak in the world.
Jenn Drummond made the final push to the top of Mount Everest on Memorial Day.
She shared a post on Instagram Tuesday that included a photo of her and her children.
“Even with 45 MPH winds at the top, I had to make sure my kids were there with me. WiFi here isn’t the best right now, so I’m only able to share this for now,” she wrote.

She also expressed her gratitude to everyone who encouraged her on the journey.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone for all of your support,” read the post. “It truly lifted me up in the most difficult times and with every step I felt all of your love, energy, and support.”
Drummond told KSL-TV that the Everest climb was part of her training to climb the second-highest summits, which many mountaineers consider to be much more difficult.
She already crossed one off the list – Ojos Del Salado, in Chile.
Thousands of people have followed her adventure online, and Drummond said one reason she’s doing it is to inspire others.
“Because there’s dark moments, and you just have to get through them because, you know, my dark moment isn’t theirs and if I do this, it gives them power to do theirs,” she said.
You can track her travels and climbs on her website.
