MILFORD, Utah — Two people died and a motorcyclist was injured after crashing on Milford’s Main Street near 400 South Monday night.
The Utah Highway Patrol said a blue Pontiac Grand Prix and a Honda motorcycle were traveling northbound on Main Street at a high rate of speed when they lost control for an unknown reason.
“The Pontiac spun around, went off the right side of the roadway, then struck a local business building and a light pole before coming to rest in the southbound travel lanes,” troopers said.
The Pontiac’s female driver and male passenger were killed in the crash. Officials said it appears both occupants were unrestrained.
Troopers said the motorcyclist went down near the Pontiac and was taken to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Impairment and speed are being investigated as potential contributors to the crash.
Main Street was closed for approximately four hours during the investigation and reopened early Tuesday morning.
