UHP Investigating After Body Found On I-80 In Tooele County

KNOLLS, Utah — Officials with the Utah Highway Patrol are investigating after a body was found on Interstate 80 in western Tooele County.
Troopers said the body was located Tuesday morning near milepost 25, about 16 miles west of Knolls or 24 miles east of the Utah-Nevada border.
The body was struck by a vehicle but investigators were working to determine if the person had died before being struck by any vehicles in the area.

No unattended vehicles were located in the area and troopers said the right lane of eastbound I-80 would be closed while crews are on scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
