First Lady Abby Cox Partners With Nonprofit For Foster Children
LEHI, Utah — First lady Abby Cox is partnering with Raise the Future to make sure underserved children in Utah have what they need to go back to school.
On Wednesday, Cox said “the government can’t solve all our problems,” adding that Utah nonprofits and businesses have been great at stepping up to give back to their communities and she hopes they continue to do so.
Cox, along with volunteers, came together to pack 250 backpacks that will help students in foster care. As we are talking about school supplies and heading back to school, the safety of children was on Cox’s mind as well.

“I have been vaccinated, my kids have been vaccinated thankfully,” she said. “I would love to see the community come together by getting vaccinated.”
Rep. Chris Moore and adoption advocate and actress Katherine Heigl helped pack the bags on Wednesday.
