SUNSET, Utah — Two people were killed in a crash near 1900 North and Main Street Sunday evening, according to police.
Sgt. Brett Jamison with the Sunset Police Department said officers believe a 33-year-old Weber County man was driving southbound on Main Street when he crossed into the northbound lane and crashed head-on with another vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 46-year-old Weber County woman, was pronounced dead on scene. The man was airlifted to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to Jamison.
No cause for the crash has been released and Jamison said investigators are looking into why the man veered into oncoming traffic.
