SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Transportation warned drivers on 2000 East to expect rolling delays that can last as long as ten minutes.
The alert is specifically for traffic going under I-80.
UDOT said the traffic delays will happen intermittently as beams are put into place for a temporary bridge that’s being built on I-80 over 2000 East.
Using 1700 East is a good alternative route, UDOT said.
Traffic will shift to the temporary bridge when it is ready. Crews will then start on a new permanent bridge on I-80 over 2000 East.
