WEST JORDAN, Utah — Police are searching for two suspects who they say assaulted two juveniles and then stole a car in West Jordan.
The incident happened at Walgreens, located at 7794 S. Redwood Road, around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Officials with the West Jordan Police Department said a car carrying four passengers arrived at the Walgreens. Two juveniles stayed inside the car, while the other two went inside the store.
At one point, two individuals broke the windows of the car, according to police, and pulled the two juveniles out of the back.
The suspects assaulted the juveniles, causing some bruising, then took off in the vehicle.
Police said after traveling a short distance away from the store, the car shut down due to there being an electronic FOB device.
Once the car stopped, the suspects took off running.
K9’s were deployed to aid in the search, but police said the suspects have not been found.
Details about the suspects were not immediately available, but authorities say they may be two Hispanic males.
