TOOELE, Utah — A 12-year-old girl from Tooele County has been found in California, according to the Sheriff’s Office, after she was reported missing Thursday night.
Divina Martinez was last seen at her residence in Stansbury Park near Old Mill Elementary in the early morning of Feb. 10 by a family member.
At the time, she was wearing black sweatpants, a black hoodie, shoes, and had three backpacks containing an Xbox.
Authorities weren’t sure if she had left the area walking or if she was picked up by someone.
Just after 8 p.m. Friday, the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office shared on Facebook that Martinez had been located in Ceres, California.
“Tooele County Detectives notified Local law enforcement who made contact with Martinez and determined that Pauline Emana, 43-year-old female, and her 15-year-old male son drove from Ceres, California to Tooele County to pick up Martinez,” read the post.
The post went on to say that Martinez and the 15-year-old boy had met online.
