WEST JORDAN, Utah — One woman has died following a crash on Redwood Road Saturday morning.
West Jordan Police Department said in a release they responded to the scene of a 2-vehicle collision at 10 a.m. at 9200 South Redwood Road.
According to a press release from the agency, a silver Cadillac passenger car was exiting a private driveway attempting to turn south onto Redwood Road and entered the path of a northbound Ford pickup.
The female driver of the truck was unable to stop and the two cars collided, the truck striking the driver door of the Cadillac.
The female driver of the Cadillac suffered fatal injuries and died on scene, police said. She was a 99-year-old resident of West Jordan.
The driver and passenger of the truck were uninjured, according to the release.
WJPD said investigators are working on scene to determine the cause of the crash. Redwood Road remains closed in both directions, as of noon Saturday.
“Please exercise extra caution when exiting a driveway onto any main road. Vehicles may look to be further away than they actually are,” Officer Samuel Winkler, West Jordan Police Department.
