Police investigate after body found, likely stabbed and thrown from car

WEST JORDAN, Utah — Police responded early in the morning Saturday to reports of a body on Bangerter Highway, they now believe he may have been stabbed and thrown from a moving vehicle.
Authorities responded about 2:30 a.m. to Bangerter Highway near 7800 South, according to West Jordan Police Deputy Chief Richard Bell.
Bell said the body was a Hispanic male in his 30s, police are not yet releasing his identity.
Bell said injuries to the man were consistent with being stabbed and thrown from a moving vehicle.

Police are processing evidence and hoping to develop leads, he said.
Police are asking the community to share anything strange they may have seen.
“We would ask that (if anyone) did see anything that were traveling on Bangerter in that time frame if they would reach out to us at 801-840-4000,” Deputy Chief Bell said.
