Update: Police identify bicyclist killed in Layton crash

LAYTON, Utah — A bicyclist in his late 30s has died after being hit by a car Saturday morning.
An air ambulance rushed him to the hospital.
Police identified the victim as 38-year-old James Christopher Pinko, of Layton.
The cyclist involved in the fatal collision with a vehicle in Layton on Saturday April 23rd is identified as 38 yr old Layton resident James Christopher Pinko. We extend our condolences to all involved.

According to Layton Police Sgt. Felion, the car and bike accident happened around 11:45 a.m. under the overpass of Hill Field Road and Interstate 15.
Felion said that it’s unknown how the accident happened but the driver is cooperating with police.
