Driver passes away after crashing in Tooele County on Saturday morning

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah – Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on the Interstate-80 in Tooele County that happened Saturday morning.

In a press release, UHP said they responded to a single-car crash around 7:25 a.m., where a 2006 Volvo S60 was found off the road after hitting a crash attenuator.

The driver passed away on the scene, and they were the only ones in the car.

UHP suspects that the driver’s speed was the main reason for the crash.
