TOOLE COUNTY, Utah — Utah Fire Info said firefighters expected the weather to be “more favorable” Sunday as they fight several wildfires.

The Jacob City fire was estimated to be 4,000 acres early Sunday. Firefighters say there is still zero containment at this point.

There were evacuations underway in Middle Canyon Saturday night. Utah Fire Info did not provide an update on those evacuations in the Sunday morning update.

The Tooele County Health Department said the fire is causing air quality to be poor. it advised residents with respiratory issues to stay indoors and close their windows Sunday.

More resources have been ordered to help with the fire.
