“Please be cautious while using the Murdock Canal. If you live in the northern end of Pleasant Grove,” read a Wednesday morning Pleasant Grove Police Department Facebook post. “Please be aware of your surroundings and know where small children are at all times. Please consider bringing pets indoors.”
On Tuesday, police said officers with the American Fork Police Department, who serve Cedar Hills were the first to be notified about the injured dog, were searching for the mountain lion with help from PGPD officers. Officials with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources also responded to the scene.
