Motorcyclist dies after crash with car in St. George

UPDATE: At approximately 1:38 p.m., Officer Tiffany Mitchell with the St. George Police Department confirmed to KSL that the motorcyclist had died from their injuries.

ST. GEORGE, Utah — A motorcyclist sustained significant injuries Wednesday after being involved in a crash with a car in Washington County.
The incident happened near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Dixie Drive.
Officer Tiffany Mitchell with the St. George Police Department said traffic in the area has been impacted “just a little bit.”
The department’s accident reconstruction team is currently on scene conducting an investigation.
“Just be mindful of first responders in this area while this is going on. Remember to slow down, move over for us when you see this kind of stuff,” Mitchell said.
The SGPD officer urged drivers to be careful when pulling out of intersections, especially when making a left turn, as they can be very dangerous.
“And take a second look and watch for those motorcyclist, because oftentimes, they can be missed,” she said.
