RICH COUNTY, Utah — Two people were killed while a third was injured in a crash on state Route 30 in northern Utah.
Sgt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened Wednesday morning when a Toyota Camry and a Buick Century collided head-on near Sage Creek Junction, approximately 4 miles from the Utah-Wyoming border.
In a UHP statement, they identified the driver of the Toyota as a 45-year-old man and the Buick as a 46-year-old man. Both of the drivers died on the scene.
The driver of the Toyota had his seat belt buckled but was sitting on it and not wearing it.
A passenger in one of the vehicles was hospitalized; an update on their condition was not provided by authorities, according to Roden.
UHP has not given a reason why the crash happened.
