Snowplow tipped over after hit-and-run by semi truck

MORGAN, Utah — A hit and run with a semi truck and a UDOT snowplow sent its driver to the hospital and flipped the snowplow on its side.
A semi truck was traveling east on Highway 84 when Morgan County Fire and EMS say it tried to pass the snowplow on the right, but hit the plow.
The snowplow driver then lost control and hit a cable barrier before it stopped, landing on the drivers side. According to a Facebook post from Morgan County Fire and EMS, the semi truck driver did not stop.
The driver of the snowplow was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
In the post, they recommended these tips to help keep UDOT snowplow operators safe, as their biggest struggle is being crowded by others on the road or being passed dangerously.
“Never pass on the shoulder, give snowplows plenty of room, drive safely for the road conditions,” the post said.
