HONG KONG– The worldwide ministry tour for President Russell M. Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is winding down, as he made his second to last stop in Asia.

Saturday evening, more than 4,200 Latter-day Saints filled a downtown convention center, to hear from President Nelson. It was the largest audience of any of President Nelson’s stops on his global ministry tour and also the most Latter-day Saints ever gathered together at one time in Hong Kong.

Before the 90-minute devotional, President and Sister Nelson visited with several multi-generational Latter-day Saint families from Hong Kong, where the Church has had a temple for more than two decades. Saturday’s meeting also brought church members from other regions of Asia.

“In Hong Kong we will have people coming from nearby Macau, many people will be coming from the major cities of the People’s Republic of China,” said President Nelson in an interview, just prior to the devotional.

In the meeting, President Nelson invited those in attendance to stand from their region of the world, to underscore the diversity of this group of Latter-day Saints.

“We are very happy to go around the world to symbolize the love of God to all of His children around the world,” President Nelson added during his remarks.

Joined by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, the church leaders offered counsel and hope for these Latter-day Saints in Asia.

President Nelson will conclude his tour in Hawaii on Sunday during a meeting on the Laie campus of BYU, before returning to Salt Lake City on Monday.
