Police Release Identity Of Woman Found Shot In Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Officials have released the identity of a woman who was found with a gunshot wound to the head Thursday.
Lt. Jenn Diederich with the Salt Lake City Police Department said officers responded to 51 North and 800 West Thursday just before 5 p.m. after a woman was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
The woman, identified as Alicia Baxter, 33, was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
After speaking with witnesses, police determined Baxter was speaking with three men when there was some kind of altercation.

After one of the men shot the Baxter, all three apparently fled the scene.
Lt. Diederich said they knew who they were looking for, but did not release their identities.
Officials said they did not have information about a possible motive for the shooting.
They were treating the case as a homicide investigation.
