Troopers Seize $1.3 Million In Meth From 2 Stops

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Highway Patrol made two major drug busts Tuesday within hours of each other.
According to a UHP statement, troopers seized more than 60 pounds of methamphetamine and up to 1,000 Oxycodone pills in two separate traffic stops within a span of two hours.
Both cars were pulled over on I-70 in Emery County.
The first stop happened just after 8:30 a.m. Troopers pulled over a vehicle with two men inside. Authorities used a narcotics dog and found 20 pounds of meth and 500 – 1,000 Oxycodone pills.
Two hours later, a similar scene played out when troopers pulled over a vehicle and found 41 pounds of meth.
Officials estimate the street value of the meth totals more than $1.3 million.
According to UHP, the drugs are believe to have originated in California and were on their way to Ohio and Nebraska.
This is the second bust the Utah Highway Patrol has made this month that totals more than $2 million.
