UPDATE: Missing, Endangered Man Found ‘Cold’ But Otherwise OK, Police Say

UPDATE: Johnie Ray Turner was found Friday morning by a citizen who recognized him from the news, according to a statement from the South Salt Lake City Police Department.
“He was cold, but otherwise okay,” according to the statement. “As of this writing he has safely returned to Meadowbrook Rehabilitation.”
SOUTH SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Officials with the South Salt Lake City Police Department are searching for 56-year-old Johnie Ray Turner, who walked away from the Meadow Brook Rehabilitation Center at 433 East and 2700 South Thursday afternoon.
Turner walked away from the center at 2 p.m. on Thursday. He is described as a white male, six feet tall with gray hair. Turner is missing some of his teeth and was last seen wearing a gray crew neck sweater, navy blue sweatpants, only one shoe and a white plaid blanket.
Police said Turner is considered missing and endangered because of his speech disability and has some mental health issues.
Officials said Turner is non-verbal; he can speak but his speech is very garbled and is not understandable.
