WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The man accused of abducting a 15-year-old girl near Hunter High School has been booked into Salt Lake County Jail on multiple charges, including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and rape.

Police identified the suspect as 43-year-old Creed Lujan of West Valley City on Tuesday.

According to court documents, officers with the West Valley City Police Department were able to find surveillance video that showed the victim walking home around 2:20 p.m. Monday when a vehicle pulled up to her. Police said a man could be seen talking to the victim before she enters the car and it drives off.

The victim later told police the suspect pulled out a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill her if she did not get into the vehicle.

According to police, the victim said the driver laid the front seat all the way back and forced her to stay laying down. She said he duct-taped her hands and feet together and then duct-taped her mouth shut. The man then took her phone, put gloves on and wiped the phone with blue chemicals so officers couldn’t find fingerprints on it, according to the probable cause statement.

The victim said the suspect “gave her two different kinds of pills to relax her, and then took her inside a house.” She told police the man then photographed and videotaped her before she was raped.

Police said the man forced the victim to clean herself in a bathroom and told her “he had cancer and that he hoped God will forgive him.”

The victim told police the suspect then changed his clothes and drove her to a bus stop, where she took off running.

Police said they found the victim “crying hysterically and running frantically through the area.”

Court documents said the victim then told her mother she had been kidnapped, drugged and raped.

She was later transported to Primary Children’s Hospital for a forensic examination.

Police located the vehicle and home described by the victim and officers asked to speak with Lujan.

Responding officers said the home was exactly as the victim had described.

Lujan was taken into custody and declined to answer detectives’ questions before requesting an attorney.

He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Tuesday.

Lujan pleaded guilty to attempted murder in 2009 after attempting to strangle a hotel housekeeper. He was sentenced to three years to life in prison and was paroled in 2015.
