Hiker Rescued Near Corona Arch

MOAB, Utah – Grand County Sheriff’s Office Division of Search and Rescue rescued an individual who slipped and fell while trying to jump across a crack in the sandstone near Corona Arch.
The hiker’s Personal Locator Beacon transmitted an SOS message to Grand County Dispatch with coordinates to the area, according to a Grand County Search and Rescue Facebook post. The hiker reportedly fell 30 feet.
The hiker was flown to a nearby hospital.
