7 Wildfires Burning As Most Of Utah Under Red Flag Warning

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A Red Flag Warning has been issued for most of the state Thursday as dry and breezy weather continues.
The warning will remain in place into the evening, according to the National Weather Service.
The conditions are perfect for wildfires to start and spread. Authorities are asking Utahns to be diligent in preventing new fires.
According to Utah Fire Info, seven wildfires are currently burning in Utah.
Here’s a breakdown of each one:
Richard Mountain Fire
Location: Dagget County
Start date: Aug. 3
Size: 6,500 acres
Contained: Zero percent
Cause: Under investigation
The #RichardMountainFire continued to burn more acreage today. It is currently 6,564 acres and 0% contained. Many more resources have been showing up and the Type 3 Team is hopeful for some good progress tomorrow, despite hot, dry, windy conditions. @BLMWyoming @BLMUtah

Upper Provo Fire
Location: Utah County
Start date:July 31
Size: 480 acres
Contained: 36%
Cause: Human, under investigation

Water Canyon Fire
Location: Carbon County
Start date: Aug. 3
Size: 107 acres
Contained: 20%
Cause: Under investigation
Hollow Fire
Location: Sanpete County
Start date: July 31
Size: 1,416 acres
Contained: 80%
Cause: Under investigation
Howell Peak Fire
Location: Millard County
Start date: July 19
Size: 1,885 acres
Contained: 75%,
Cause: No cause listed
Pine Hollow Fire
Location: Kane County
Start date: July 29
Size: 11,405 acres
Contained: 98%
Cause: Lightning
