HERRIMAN, Utah – A man died early Thursday morning after a rollover crash in Herriman, police said.
The incident happened shortly before 1 a.m. in the area of Mountain View Corridor and Porter Rockwell Boulevard.
Herriman City Police Sgt. Greg Shaver said it appears the driver may have been going too fast and failed to navigate a turn. The car crashed and flipped onto its roof, and the driver died on scene.
Shaver said authorities are currently investigating whether there were other factors to the crash, such as distraction or impairment.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
A portion of Mountain View Corridor was temporarily shut down as officers worked at the scene.
