Riverton Honoring 9/11 Victims With 5 Flag Remembrance Displays

RIVERTON, Utah – The City of Riverton is honoring those who died in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, with 911 flags displayed at five locations across the city.
The flags will be displayed Sept. 7 – 13.
“Distinct educational displays will be presented at each of five locations with a sobering fact about that fateful day 19 years ago,” according to the city’s website. “Families and individuals are invited to visit each location to learn or be reminded of the toll the terrorist attack took on our nation.”
The displays will be at the following locations:
- Canyonview, 12600 S. 4465 West
- Centennial Park, 13000 S. 2700 West
- Monarch Meadows Parkway, 13600 S. 4800 West
- Riverton City Hall, 12830 S. Redwood Road
- Spirit Corner, 12600 S. Redwood Road
Riverton will also be hosting a Patriot Day car show parade as well as a multi-location fireworks show.
