Crews Respond To Fire At SLC Warehouse

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Firefighters responded to a 2-alarm fire at a laundry facility in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning.
Officials said the blaze started when some styrofoam on top of the warehouse caught fire. The flames spread to roofing materials that were recently delivered to the building, sending a dark column of smoke into the air that was visible across the Salt Lake Valley.
No injuries were reported and firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before 6:30 a.m.

Officials did not say what caused the styrofoam to ignite and the incident is under investigation.
All employees were evacuated and no injuries were reported. Around 35 firefighters responded to the scene.
Crews said the laundry facility suffered some damage due to water that leaked through holes in the roof that were created by the flames.
