Firefighters Respond To 2-Alarm Fire At Sandy Restaurant

SANDY, Utah — Around 30 firefighters were dispatched to battle a two-alarm fire at a restaurant, according to Deputy Chief Ryan McConaghie with the Sandy Fire Department.
Crews responded to the former Jim’s Family Restaurant near 10600 South and Holiday Park Drive around 2 a.m. Thursday.
Firefighters reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof upon arrival.
The fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported.

McConaghie said the building is expected to be a total loss with damages estimated to be in the thousands of dollars.
Crews from the Draper and Sandy fire departments, along with the Unified Fire Authority, responded to the fire.
According to its Facebook page, Jim’s Family Restaurant moved to a new location at 9236 South Village Shop Dr. earlier this month.
