Squirrel causes power outage in Salt Lake, leaving thousands without electricity

SALT LAKE CITY— A Rocky Mountain Power outage in Salt Lake City impacted over 6,000 customers Wednesday morning…all because of a squirrel.
Jasen Lee with Rocky Mountain Power explained the small, woodland creature was to blame for the outage.

By 11:00 a.m. power was restored.
