STOCKTON, Utah — A silver car left the roadway and crashed into a fence in Stockton Thursday night after police say another vehicle swerved in front of it at an intersection.
The incident happened at Connor Avenue (state Route 36) and Silver Avenue around 9 p.m. Thursday.
Officials with the Stockton Police Department said a silver Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound on Connor Avenue when a white truck heading the opposite direction turned left onto Silver Avenue in front of the Sentra.
“The Sentra swerved left to avoid the impact, then over corrected to the right, loosing control of the vehicle and leaving the roadway,” read a Facebook post from the agency.
The white truck did not stop.
Police say air bags deployed inside the Sentra, but the 21-year-old man in the driver seat “appeared to suffer no injuries” and refused medical attention on scene.
“Stockton police are still reviewing camera footage as well speaking to witnesses in an attempt to locate the other vehicle,” concluded the post.
