SALT LAKE CITY — Shuttle bus options from Salt Lake City to Reno, Nevada, have expanded.
As of Dec. 1, Salt Lake Express now connects to Reno on Interstate 80. The company said it has worked with the Nevada Department of Transportation to determine the needs of the communities in the corridor.
Reno, which calls itself the “Biggest little city in the world,” also serves as a gateway to the Lake Tahoe area. It says the service will help with access to Reno from cities that include Idaho cities Boise, Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Twin Falls and Utah’s Salt Lake City.
“Our riders have been asking for this connection for some time now,” Jacob Price, owner of Salt Lake Express, said.
The route also adds Nevada destinations including Battle Mountain, Fernley and Winnemucca. It is also said to help students in Provo, Reno and Salt Lake. The transportation company said it also recently added a direct route from Boise to Salt Lake.
The service said it also offers routes to Utah cities like Blanding, Moab and Vernal.
