SALT LAKE CITY — Starting with the 2022-23 season, Snowbasin will join the Ikon Pass, which now grants access to six Utah resorts.
Also joining the pass are Sun Valley in Idaho and Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley in France.
“We are excited to start a new partnership program for the 2022-23 season,” said Bruce Fery, CEO of Grand America Hotels & Resorts, parent company of Sun Valley and Snowbasin. “As we continue our legacy as two premier independently owned and operated US ski resorts, we look forward to welcoming Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective Pass Holders and providing the legendary experience for which Sun Valley and Snowbasin are known.”

Previously, Snowbasin was part of Vail’s Epic Pass, shared by Vail-owned Park City Mountain Resort.
The Ikon Pass is made up of 50 resort destinations in 10 countries across five continents.
Utah’s resorts include Alta, Brighton, Deer Valley, Snowbasin, Snowbird and Solitude — but pass options and accessibility vary by resort.
Ikon Pass holders will have access to seven days at Snowbasin with no blackout dates, and Ikon Base Pass holders will have access to five days, with select blackout dates with the upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus Pass. Snowbasin will not be available on the Ikon Session Pass.
Multi-resort season passes have been met with an array of reviews among Utah skiers, with some enjoying greater access to the greatest snow on Earth and others lamenting bigger crowds on the slopes and in parking lots.
Passes go on sale Thursday, March 10, with the adult Ikon Pass costing $1,079. Passholders who renew get a $100 discount.
