Teen found dead in upside down car in the Bear River

CORRINNE, Utah — The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office said first responders found a 17-year-old driver dead in his upside down car in the Bear River Friday.
Mulitple agencies responded to the call for a car in the river at approximately 3:15 p.m. Friday near Corinne at 4000 W 3600 N.
“A preliminary investigation has found that at approximately 6:30 a.m. the vehicle was southbound on 4000 W, failed to turn at a T intersection at 3600 N, and drove off the roadway into the river,” a news release from the Box Elder County Sheriff stated. “It was reported that there was dense fog in the area at that time, which likely contributed to the cause of the crash.”
Deputies did not release the teen’s name pending notification of the family.
First responders from Box Elder County Search and Rescue, Corinne Fire Department, Brigham City Fire Department, and Willard Fire Department were at the scenen.
