Church Invites Members To Contribute To New Hymnbook, Children’s Songbook

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are being encouraged to submit hymns for the church’s new global hymnbook and children’s songbook.

In a statement released today, The Church invited “all who are gifted with musical and poetic talent to share those gifts.”

Those interested can write, compose and submit their works by July 1.

So far, the most popular recommendation for the new hymn book is “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing.”
