SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Two troopers were involved in separate crashes while driving down the road. Officials said neither was injured.
The crashed happened in Salt Lake and Weber Counties Wednesday.
Sergeant Nick Street with the Utah Highway Patrol said the first happened on Interstate 15 near 31st Street in Ogden.
The driver lost control of their vehicle as a result of an apparent problem with blood sugar levels.

Sgt. Street said the driver struggled to maintain their lane and sideswiped the trooper’s patrol vehicle. The driver pulled over and was cooperating with officials. He was cited with failure to maintain his lane.
In the other crash on Interstate 215 near Redwood Road, the trooper was rear-ended by a vehicle troopers believed was driven by a parole violation fugitive.
The trooper and driver both stopped their vehicles. The suspect reportedly got out of the car, then back in.

Sgt. Street said it appeared to the trooper that the suspect was attempting to move off the interstate, but instead attempted to flee the scene.
Officials already felt they had a good idea who the man was, so after a slow speed pursuit, they ended the chase and went to an area where they expected the man to be.
After going to that location, officials were able to take the man into custody.
One of the troopers was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, but was soon released.
